Peshawar Dental College is project of Prime Foundation. It was established in year 2010. It is recognized by Federal Ministry of Health, Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC), HEC and affiliated with Riphah International University Islamabad. The college is for female only. Peshawar Dental College is student –centered college with clear objective of producing female dentists who are professionally competent, excellent in ethical values and practice, cognizant of community health needs, research minded, well versed in IT and latest health technologies to meet the international challenges.
Alhamdulillah, Peshawar dental college has completed almost its 10 years and so far more than 330 graduates have been qualified from the institute. PDC is providing services to students and community of KP through different Academic, Social and Research activities.
The main purpose of PDC is to provide educational facility to undergraduate students but it is also providing facility to post graduate students of both university and CPSP programs. PDC conducts a 4 years course of study leading to the award of BDS degree. We have taken a step ahead and start an integrated modular system from the session 2019-2020.
The BDS program is focused on the professional knowledge and skill development with an emphasis on ethical values as our priority and our mission. PDC also share the Undergraduate Medical Research (UMR) program as a regular component of the education program. We have experienced highly qualified faculty members, state of art well equipped departments, library & laboratories.
Peshawar Dental College (PDC) has its own hospital which is one of tertiary care teaching hospital of the Peshawar. Hospital is providing outstanding patient care that is our prime responsibility, also help in providing uninterrupted training facilities both to the undergraduate and postgraduate students of Riphah international university and college of physician and surgeons Pakistan (CPSP). The Operation Theater runs regularly providing services to the patients of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Preclinical Skill development is provided at surgical skill labs and phantom lab in PMC &PDC. Clinical skills are developed in small groups in the clinical premises under the supervision of the faculty.
In addition to academic activities of PDC, co-curricular activities are also mandatory for the student’s health. They are organized through seminars on the needed topics by authorities at national and international level, workshops on many themes, oral health awareness visits to schools, free dental camps, Social welfare (SWS) activity, sports week & literally week etc.
The college is located on Warsak road, which takes off Jamrud road near St. Mary's schoo and 5 minutes from Peshawar Medical College adjacent to Prime Teaching Hospital. The college has a lush green sprawling campus that spreads over an area of 25 kanals. It consists of administrative offices, teaching complex, libraries, laboratories, and cafeteria. Excellent facilities of indoor and outdoor games are available.
The college is easily accessible from the cantonment railway station, the city main bus terminal and the Peshawar International Airport.
Warsak road is a dual carriage road, with public buses plying on it, throughout the day and late night. There is a local shopping center adjacent to the college, while the main shopping mall of Sadder is at a close distance. Captain Sher Khan Shaheed stadium on Jamrud road, Warsak dam, and Michini riveria on Kabul River, are at the doorstep' of the college and are popular recreation sites.
Hostel accommodation for girl's students is available on college campus.
